Biography

Sean McClain is our Founder and has served as our Chief Executive Officer since August 2011, as a member of our board of directors since the formation of Absci Corporation in October 2020, and a managing member of our predecessor, Absci LLC, since inception. Mr. McClain also serves as a board member for the Oregon Translational Research and Development Institute (OTRADI), a non-profit biosciences-focused incubator, and Life Science Washington, a non-profit trade association. Mr. McClain holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from the University of Arizona.
